Grantec Committees CSA ISO API SCC IEC UKOOA

Grantec participates in the development of standards under the following bodies:

	•Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
	•Standards Council of Canada (SCC)
	•International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
	•American Petroleum Institute (API)
	•United Kingdom Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA)
	•International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)

Grantec personnel have been significantly involved in the updating of the offshore structure standards under CSA and the move to harmonize these standards with the Offshore Structure standards being developed by ISO.

One focus of Grantec’s participation in the Offshore Structures standards has been in the area of explosion safety. Grantec personnel have contributed to the new requirements within the CSA S471 (2004) standard as well as to the requirements in the ISO Topsides 19901-3 standard currently being drafted. Grantec participates at the International level in these endeavours.

Grantec personnel also participate in the development of ISO / IEC standards for Gas Transmission systems, Offshore Wind Turbines and Marine Energy.

In 2003, Grantec’s founder was awarded the CSA Award of Merit for significant contributions to the advancement of Offshore Structures Standards under CSA and ISO.
