QUICK LINK TO Solidworks Simulation White Paper: Solidworks Simulation White Paper
Grantec's depth of experience with the Solidworks Simulation finite element analysis program (formally COSMOS & CosmosWorks) has been very well regarded by Solidworks Corporation and the original developer Structural Research and Analysis Corporation (SRAC). We are pleased to be featured in the new White Paper on Solidworks Simulation published by Solidworks Corporation.
Grantec's experience with the Solidworks Simulation advanced finite element analysis software spans over twenty years and began when Grantec's founder, Richard M. Grant, M.Eng., P.Eng., selected and used the COSMOS/M Finite Element Software for the advanced analysis of the Canadian Navy's Maritime Coastal Defence Vessel (MCDV). The COSMOS/M program was accepted by the Canadian Navy for the finite element analysis of the MCDV. The COSMOS/M analysis performed for the MCDV included, but was not limited to: the shock and vibration analysis of the mast, superstructure (supporting the mast) including the navigation bridge, vibration analysis of generators, structure supporting weapons, azimuthing Z-drive thruster installations, skeg. etc. This work was performed during the period from 1990 to 1994.
Following Solidworks Corporation's acquisition of the COSMOS/M and COSMOS Designstar developer, Structural Research and Analysis Corporation (California), Solidworks Corporation re-branded the COSMOS products as Solidworks Simulation. |
